Why keep a drone flight log?
Most routine Part 107 and recreational operations do not require a flight log, but keeping one can help you organize missions, authorizations, aircraft, and flight time. Pilots of crewed aircraft use logbooks to document training, aeronautical experience, and currency. The UAS Remote Pilot Logbook adapts familiar aviation practices such as dated entries, aircraft identification, flight time, and running totals for drone operations. It was created by an FAA-certificated Part 107 remote pilot who is also a private pilot.
